We want your writing!
I am pleased to announce that BookSmack’s first digital literary magazine will be published on March 31, 2026!
We are now accepting submissions for our second issue, set to be published on June 30, 2026.
Any and every entry is welcome, provided they meet the guidelines mentioned on the submission form.
Each entry will be subject to a $5 submission fee, but there is a section on the form to state if the fee poses an issue for you.
Because, ultimately, that’s what this project is about: making the literary world accessible and safe for all.
And to break down those barriers of perfectionism and elitism and exclusion to provide a chance to every writer from any background.
So, if you’ve been wanting to be published but weren’t sure where to start: submit! If your goal is to be published in 2026: submit! If you have a piece that isn’t your best work but want to share anyway: submit! If you’re not sure you want to write but wanna try it out: submit!
Just submit, submit, SUBMIT!
There is no restriction on background, skill-level, experience, genre or theme – if you wrote it and want to share it, you are welcome (and encouraged) to submit it.
*Please note that, given the publication’s open format, there is no honorarium for submissions at this time. Local authors will be given response priority, but all eligible entries will be accepted.*
